Welcome to the Little Swingers

The Little Swingers program is a great way to experience a basic introduction to the game of golf for participants under the age of 8. The program runs for 4 Saturdays during the month of June and will explain the game and provide instruction and fun games.

All equipment including clubs and balls required for each session are provided by the Westfield Golf & Country Club.

Every Saturday will consist of two sessions, each with a maximum
of 10 participants.

All instruction and games are conducted at the Westfield Golf & Country Club practice facility.

Hole walk – walk through a golf hole, explain components 20 min Session 2 – 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm
Driving – teach swing and hit range balls 10 min
Putting – play putting contest 10 min
Saturday June 15 Meet at practice green & intro to days lesson 5 min Session 1 – 11:00 am to 11:45 am
Putting – putt to a hoop target 10 min Session 2 – 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm
Chipping – chip to a bucket 10 min
Iron shots – learn to hit irons 10 min
Finish up – putting contest 10 min
Saturday June 22 Meet at practice green & intro to days lesson 5 min Session 1 – 11:00 am to 11:45 am
Putting Relay race – a series of putting contests 10 min Session 2 – 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm
Aim Practice – bullseye aiming practice 10 min
Shot Practice – practicing swing and hitting range balls 20 min
Saturday June 29 Meet at practice green & intro to days lesson 5 min Session 1 – 11:00 am to 11:45 am
Short Game – chip a shot and then put it in 10 min Session 2 – 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm
Long Game – driver, long irons practice 15 min
Sand Shots – hitting from the sand 10 min

Little Swingers Registration Form

Our Junior coordinator Jack Bailey will reply with confirmation of your registration and notifications of your designated weekly session time.  Each week will consist of two sessions.   (A limit of 10 participants will be scheduled per weekly session)

Registration Fees are $10 per session to be paid to the pro shop at the day of the session.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the session begins.

We ask that parents remain at the club during the session either watching
the session  or relaxing in the club house Members lounge.
